Kawasaki Dirt Bikes Kawasaki, one of the largest companies in Japan, is also a manufacturer of these motorcycles and dirt bikes. While not the biggest manufacturer of bikes in Japan, it has a large consumer base and is one of the most popular brands in the world. The Kawasaki Company was founded in October 1896 and started out as a shipbuilding company. It wasn’t until 1949 that they had started developing motorcycle engines and in 1952-53, they began to mass-produce motorcycles. And in 1960, they have finished construction of a factory solely for the purpose of developing and manufacturing motorcycles. Presently, they work on other projects, such as developing ships, planes, and other modes of transportation, but are more focused on developing motorcycles and ATVs (All-terrain vehicles) since it has the largest consumer base. Reviews on Kawasaki dirt bikes are generally positive. To quote a reviewer, “big things do really come on small packages”. Kawasaki’s dirt bikes are small (smaller than others) but it packs a lot of power. One such example is the 2010 Kawasaki KLX110 / KLX110L, a modification from the older 2009 model. The 2010 model is very much different than the previous iteration, as Kawasaki has greatly improved its capabilities. First, they have made it tougher, with the addition of tougher and more durable frames. And with these tougher build, performance is also greatly improved. Its handling capabilities remain unchanged, as it works perfectly fine. Some changes are made to its parts, for example, they have tuned some of its parts but this is to accommodate beginner / novice riders. Intermediate and expert-level riders need not to worry though, as it can also accommodate them and will not notice any difference from the previous model. All in all, a good buy for both novice and expert-level riders. While Kawasaki have withdrawn on its Motocross racing activities, they have mentioned that they are planning to make a comeback this coming year and fans don’t need to worry as they will still continue to manufacture more models in the coming years. True to their word, previews of upcoming models can be seen on their official website www.kawasaki.com. Some are even available and can be purchased on their website (or on their local partners). Specifications and its capabilities are also listed so be sure to take a look and compare the bikes before making a purchase. Copyright © Dirt Bikes |
