Suzuki Dirt Bikes Dirt bikes are very much different than your ordinary motorbike, as they are specifically built for racing and driving in muddy and rugged environments. Whatever the condition may be, a dirt bike can handle it better than an ordinary motorbike and with ease. There are several companies manufacturing these dirt bikes, one of them being Suzuki, which is based on Japan. Suzuki started out as a cloth manufacturing company (Suzuki Loom Works) before moving on to the automotive industry. It was 1952 when they first designed a two-wheel motorized vehicle, which they named “Power Free”. It was a huge success and by 1954, they are able to manufacture 6,000 motorcycles per month, establishing them as one of the leading automotive companies in Japan. From then forward, Suzuki has developed dirt bikes and other types of automobiles for other countries. They soon branched out to other countries, such as the USA, Canada, and India. Today, Suzuki is still one of the leading manufacturers of motorbikes and dirt bikes. With new models being released every year, Suzuki shows no signs of stopping. Recently, Motocross racer Ryan Dungey has just won his eighth straight victory, thanks to Suzuki’s RM-Z450, one of the revolutionary dirt bikes released by Suzuki this year. Equipped with the latest technology, such as the new, state-of-the-art Showa suspension front and rear, it greatly improves handling and balance, which in effect makes it more stable than other bikes. Some of the most popular Suzuki dirt bikes, besides the aforementioned RM-Z450, are the Suzuki RM125 and Suzuki RM250. Both bikes have the same “two-stroke” technology, which gives the much-needed performance for motocross racers. However, these bikes are recommended for the more experienced racer, but novice racers can also try these for a test run. This coming 2011, Suzuki has stated that they will continue to manufacture even better dirt bikes, and some of these new and upcoming models can be previewed on motor shows. Be sure to be on the lookout for these new bikes, you don’t want to be left out on the dirt when they come around! Copyright © Dirt Bikes |
